200gb file can be compress to how much lesser space

if i compress a 200gb folder with win.rar ... what wld be the size of the folder ... i want it take very less space ... so plz let me know how much space wld it take on hard drive after i compress it.

it depends on the file. text files tend to end up to be around 1/3rd the size but things that are already compressed like an xvid movie file will only get 5-10% smaller.
programs vary greatly but i tend to get it to 60% of its normal size.
try it and see.
