I just got a brand new laptop about 2 weeks ago. It has a 337 GB SSD and 1TB HHD. The SSD had about 30 GB taken from the OS but other then that, I have installed everything to my D drive since getting my computer. I was downloading a large file from a torrent (~35GB) to my D drive and all was going smooth and then I realized that ~200 GB of space is gone from my SSD leaving me only 13GB left. There is not way I installed that much info and I have no idea where it went. Could it be a virus? I have never had this happen to me before and I don't know if it is a problem with my new computer itself.
Thank you!
Also, I'm running Windows 8.1

Hey there, Colleen9400.

There are a lot of things which could have caused that, even a virus, although my first guess wouldn't be that. You could still update your anti-virus program's database and make a full scan of your computer, just to be on the safe side. I'd also recommend that you check out this article: http://www.howtogeek.com/125923/7-ways-to-free-up-hard-disk-space-on-windows/ - it has a lot of useful tips on how to free up HDD storage space and how to find out what is filling up your drive. If I were you, I'd take a look at the amount reserved for System Restore.

Hope that helps.
