Hi guys! Im having less than desired performance with my new GPU. I went from a 2060 Super to a 5070TI and i was expecting most games above 100fps with all maxed out. Well, it didnt, and I dont really know if my GPU came faulty or what.

Take RDR2 for example: With all maxed out in 1440p i can have 90fps in nature and downs to 60-70 in small villages like strawberry

GTAV ENHANCED: 59-70 in the city with all RT on and maxed settings 1440p

AC SHADOWS: +120fps with frame gen, all ultra. Without Frame Gen around...55-60 at 1440p

Oblivion Remaster: +120 fps with stutters with Hardware RT and all maxed with Frame gen. 45 without in the open world.

Im desperate. TY for your comments and support

This is my full System:
RTX ZOTAC SOLID SSF 5070TI
I79700K

MSI MPG Z390 GAMING EDGE AC

WD Blue SN550 NVMe PCIe M.2 1TB
Kingston HyperX DDR4 2666 C16 2x16GB
CM 750W BRONZE

CM 750W BRONZE
Coolermaster is the brand of the unit while 750W and Bronze are the advertised wattage and 80+ efficiency rating of the unit. What is the model of the unit and how old is the PSU?

Did you use DDU to remove all GPU drivers(intel, AMD and Nvidia) from your platform in Safe Mode, then manually installing the latest GPU driver sourced from Nvidia's support site?

You forgot to mention the OS you're working with. If you're on Windows 11, please include the version(not edition) you're on. BIOS version for your motherboard?

Kingston HyperX DDR4 2666 C16 2x16GB
The sweet spot for your platform would've been a dual channel tight latencied, DDR4-3200MHz~DDR4-3600MHz. That would've given a slight FPS boost on your platform.

Thank you for your kind answer.

I dont know the exact model of the PSU, but i have to admit its more than ten years old.

Yes, I used DDU.

Windows 11 24H2

I have nerver updated BIOS, but dxdiag says A.60

You might want to take the side panels off of your case and pass on images of the stickered sides of the PSU. You will need to host your images on a site akin to Imgur and then pass on a link here for us to see or you can read off of the stickered info and pass it along.

As for the age of the unit, a decade ago, Coolermaster units were something to avoid. Sigh...you're on your way to buying another GPU at this rate.

Oh. I will check for that PSU info, but the card is under warranty and special warrant also from the store, i guess ill be fine if something does happen to the card. The 2060 and a 1060 worked well for years with this PSU...

You mean my gpu can be fried already?

Edit:

Cooler Master GX - 750W 80 PLUS Bronze Power Supply (RS750-ACAAD3-US)

thats the PSU

I'm gonna say that while the 5070 Ti is an up to date card... the rest of your system is very dated and likely holding you back.

I used to have a i7-9700k. I upgraded from that to a i9-13900k and then more recently to a Ryzen 9950X3D. In both cases when I upgraded I saw higher average fps and fewer stutters than previously. The i7-9700k was a decent CPU for the time, but that was 6 years ago. You’re going to need something more powerful than that for high refresh rate 1440p gaming.

You’ll want to replace your PSU as well. Your current one is old and of low quality and it could damage your new GPU. A decent new PSU like a Corsair RM750x is not that expensive.
