Republicans will take at least 55 house seats up for the taking and easily have majority...good ridance Pelosi. The Senate majority rests on five races...W. Virginia, Colorado, Washington, Nevada and California. Reed is gone in Nevada...good ridance moron? or twit? you decide. Depends on who wins the remaining four. CA looks like the tard Boxer has it in the bag. So whomever wins 2 of the three W. Virginia, Colorado and Washington will determine who controls the Senate.

That N.Y. Times poll is ludicrous. Many of the house seats the poll calls tossups are easily taken by the republican. The Dems will be be buried by tuesday evening. Obama should take responsibility for the thrashing and stop blaming republicans.

Obama is 'now' hinting He is available to make a deal to extend the Bush tax cuts for good to mid income taxpayers and in addition for the next two years to upper level income taxpayers. LOL. This concession will be the first of his post mid term election 'concessions Har Har' which steer him to the center *laugh. Obama will mercifully be out of the kitchen in 2012.

As usual with the New York Times, the information is "simplified", I suppose to avoid "confusion". The categories are "LEANING Democrat" and "LEANING Republican", and they show 42 as "Toss-ups". Yet in PA8 and PA10 - races I am familiar with - the NYT's own data shows the 538 saying 80% and 71% chance of Republican win.

So I ask you - wtf does it take to be "Leaning Republican"?

Nice propaganda job lol.

In PA8, Murphy got caught sending out official looking notices to voters that their vote was in jeopardy - put your request for an absentee ballot in the enclosed envelope and mail it back NOW! Where? To a post office box registered to the Democrat Party lol.

Then there's good old Philadelphia with more registered voters than residents over 18. Sorta like Chicago lol. Maybe that justifies ZERO press coverage about Corbett (R) leading the (D) from the gitgo, nearly a revolution in this state.

I guess they figure with all the extra Philly votes, a 6-point lead in the polls may not be enough :)

I have a feeling were on the tip of seeing states rights being confronted with feds rights, and many court battles ahead
This can be dangerous for all who do "business as usual", on both sides
This will really harm the Dems, because, as we all know, their voting base is from the large cities, where all their "programs" are treasured
If this becomes a trend, this will upend "business as usual", and force a rethink of who gets voted in, and how to get things done

I certainly hope so, the sooner the better for *lots* of reasons. A States' Rights battle would in part be a surrogate battle for the individual rights we're steadily losing. And we'd retain the right to vote with our feet for the State of our choice.

I think it's amusing how these career politicians are being beat out by ordinary joes, and celebrities.

I don't know for sure if it's a good thing or not, but it shows how tired the public is, of these career [strike]liars[/strike] politicians.

Im generally conservative, yet theres certain liberals Ive admired in the past, as they simply stuck to their guns, and even tho their ideas werent aligned with mine, they did show merit as making the most sense in their application from those good liberals
I think the "I want to be everything to everyone" politicians days are over, on both sides

Yep, the idea of having a person much less one of the partys with an idea or solution to be everything to everyone or anything in between is lost for the forseeable future. The two sides are closer to hostilities against one another than finding common ground. Instead of debates, I see the distinct possibility of pistol duels in our near future.

The current administratiion is the farthest thing from my imagination as is possible to comprehend as to what represents my political views, my ideas of my country and everything I have ever believed. I have a deep distaste for the current group of top Democrats starting with Obama, Boxer, Pelosi, Kerry, Gore, Reid, Biden and so on. Bye-bye Pelosi and Reid. Thier place amongst the Kerrys and Gores of the world is reserved.

Bill Clinton is the only current top Democrat who makes any sense to me on a political or personal level. Jennifer Flowers was awesome. I thought lowly of him for feeling up his staff on a daily basis. Then what he did to Lewinsi's sunday dress was pretty weird. I thought his foreign policy was quite frankly worthy of implementation by way of mental retardation. . Clinton has talks with N. Korea and builds them a bazillion dollar nucleur energy power plant in exchange for their promise His highness Presidente Mentally Il will drop his nucleur weapons development plan. Duh. Ef N. Korea.

Tuesday night will be fun. Beyond shocking.

I'd settle for a US Birth Certificate :)

Normally I'd not resurrect an old part of this thread, but this comment struck a chord with me.

The point Buwish makes is certainly valid, but the truth goes far deeper.

All of us now, everywhere, are actually competing with everyone else, everywhere.

That's never been true before, and has profound implications for future businesses AND careers.

No doubt it is a different business world. Someone from the middle of Romania, for example (I have nothing against Romania, just using it as a "far away" example) could compete with someone in New York City depending on the items sold, i.e. discount whole sales or something. It opens up opportunities for many, but kills the businesses of others. I guess you could say it forces us to think in new, almost foreign ways in an ancient practice, which isn't easy. But I suspect the world will survive.

FYI, here is another results page to check as the night and days go by:

Feel free to post your own preferred sites as well (I just prefer CNN).

Well, it looks like the GOP will take the House and the Senate is still up for grabs at this point. :pfff: I said that I'd move to Canada if Boehner (I have a different name for him) became speaker and it looks like I will. I've always found Montreal lovely😉 You think D.C. was paralyzed before, well, it's only going to get worse with him at the helm.

Pelosi is still there so your hopes and dreams for the direction of DC are not totally shattered by Boehner replacing her as Speaker. 😱

She can be minority leader. Draging her out of the office by her feet clinging to the curtains wouldn't deture her arrogance one bit. She has no shame.

Dems cling to Boxer's Senate seat and hold Senate majority. How do you get rid of Boxer and her nauseating arrogance. California has lost almost one million jobs since Obama took office (800K) and still Boxer and Jerry Brown are elected. The Dems have CA and NY. Reps/Tea Party pretty much have the rest. If Obama doesn't take responsibility for tonight's debacle for his party, I will move to chick city with you. :)

Living in Californica showed me how, if regulated, taxed, controlled, attitudes, court systems against business, everyone suing anything for whatever reasons etc etc prophecy can happen
Yep, the Dems sure know what theyre doing alright

CA is doomed. Yet she is elected over and over for 28 years. DUUUUUUUUUUUH!

Boxer will NEVER be completely free from therapy and applicable drugs related to Tx. Really.
