I recently got a late 2011 MacBook Pro 13-inch and it does not turn on at all.
I checked the motherboard and there appears to be nothing wrong other than a tiny amount of corrosion near the ethernet port.
Does anybody know what could be wrong with it?
The charger does work by the way.

2011 MacBook is very old at this point, generally the fault is corrosion or a dead IC. Corrosion is generally found on the other side of the board where you can't see, near the LCD connector/backlight circuit.

I took it out and inspected it very carefully and there appears to be no damage. Then again, I don't really know what the motherboard is supposed to look like, so I could be wrong. I haven't tested the IC's with a multimeter though, I'll try that later today when I get home from school.
