2018 400$ Monitor, is 1440p/144hz worth?

Hi,

Currently have a 1080P 60hz, and I am thinking upgrading it, Yes there are tons of same questions all over here, but non have the answer for me.

My PC Specs features a Ryzen 5 1600 and a 295x2 8GB. I plan to upgrade my graphic card next year to a 1080 or something similar.

My budget is 400$ for the monitor, I currently have 2 favorites,

but also, is 1440p worth it, is there noticeble upgrade when playing for example witcher 3 1080p to 1440p? Also same question for refresh rate, have seen several videos comparing them, but at the end, I will have to try it, but I want the best overall monitor currently 2018 for gaming exclusively, and yes has to be +27inches.

Is that the R9 295 x 2?
A single 1440p 144Hz monitor should be possible, but 1080p 144Hz would be more of a sweetspot with that GPU from my experience.

1440p 144Hz is worth it and a monitor of this calibre is an investment that'll stay with you through upgrades in future for a lengthy amount of time.
