I’m planning to assemble a system with an RTX 2080, ryzen 7 2700x, 32gb 3000 mhz of ram, a gigabyte x470 auros motherboard, 250gb ssd and 3tb hard drive, and a 800 watt power supply. I’m pretty new to the world of high end parts given my current system is. A 1050ti and an i5 8300h. I was just wondering if the ryzen can keep up with the 2080 on a1080p 27’ 144hz monitor. I know ryzens love lots of ram and hopefully this system will hold together. Any feedback would be appreciated :)

That is a very solid setup.
Ryzen likes fast RAM, the capacity not as important.
If you need 32GB thats fine, but you would probably be fine with 16GB.
I’ve been to other places with gear junkies telling me that I need over 3000mhz for the cpu to keep up with the 2080. I’m thinking of 24gb or ram instead. I can’t afford all this ram lol that stuffs expensive. I’ve also gotten people who are telling me that my blower style 2080 is terrible for my open sir case. I’ve never owned a blower but they look pretty awesome in my opinion. I know there for small from factor builds but I can’t really afford a ssc or a rog. I just want this to last me for another 5 years lol

Either get 16 or 32, 24 is an odd config that could cause problems.
3000MHz is a solid speed.
Blower cards arent great compared to after market cards, but if thats what you want you can use it.
The blower is just more economical. And also I had no idea that 24gb could cause a problem thanks for the insight.

Will it bottleneck at 1080p?...yes. it won't be your CPU though it will be your monitor. If you were to upgrade to 244hz @1080p or up your resolution to 1440 @ 144hz or 4k @ 60hz you would be fine.
