Hello guys, I have GTX 1080 right now, and I want to upgrade since it been awhile since I upgrade my GPU. I was thinking to upgrade to 2080ti, do you guys have other recommendation? I want to stick with Nvidia since it been my go-to GPU since I started my pc hobby. My current specs are down below.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
Motherboard: ASRock B450 Pro4
RAM: KLEVV DDR4 BOLT X Series 3200MHZ 2x8GB
GPU: ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 Mini 8GB GDDR5X
HDD: WD Blue 2x500GB
SSD:﹥Samsung EVO 860 250GB
                                  ﹥V-GeN Hyper 256GB M.2 NVMe
                                  ﹥KLEVV CRAS C710 1TB M.2 NVMe
Cooling: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports DUO
Case: Deepcool Matrexx 55 V2
PSU: CORSAIR CV650

How old is that CV650? Wasn't a great PSU you to start with, if it is as old as a GTX1080, time to replace it.

PSU is a little light for a 2080 Ti anyway.

If you are open to suggestions, than RTX 4070 Super is a fine replacement for a 3080 12GB/3080Ti which are both quite a bit faster than a 2080Ti 11GB.
is not that old bro i just bought it like 3-5 months ago and is brand new. I would like the 4070 super/non super but im on a budget right now that card is out of my budget sadly.

The CV line of PSU's aren't really designed for gaming systems, and certainly not for mid-high end GPU's. I would not run it with a 4070ti/Super, or any modern graphics card of the last 2 gen. They are not up to the task. As a strictly office based PC, then the CV would be ok.

A 2080 ti will destroy that PSU, the 2080 TI has very bad power spikes. I had a EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3 ultra gaming on a EVGA 750w G2 and it would trip the 12v rail during AAA games, switched it out to a 1600w G2 i had from an older build and was ok.

I went from the 2080 Ti to my now 4070 ti super and was a nice jump in performance. Depending on your price point for GPU i would highly recommend a ATX 3.0 PSU for whatever GPU you go with, they are spec'd to handle the power spikes of the higher end cards.....2080/Ti, 3080/Ti, and newer 4000 series.

If you have a micro center near you i would check them out, look in their returned GPU section and see if you can find a deal there. I see they have a 3070 founders for $300 right now, $350 for a 3070 Ti or $400 for a 3080 founders.

Hmm, I see, what would you recommend though for a good PSU? Maybe that has ATX 3.0, I would like to future proofing as well so I can upgrade easily in the future.

There are many good PSU's. Budget is key. I would recommend Corsair RMi, RMx, RMe (the new one). Also there are the SuperFLower Leadex VII range, EVGA SuperNova, and also the MSI Mag GL all of which are ATX 3.

They cost more, but the PSU is the heart of the system so having something strong will be good, and will also be transferable to another system down the line. Ideally something that comes with a 7-10yr warranty.

Thank you for your advice. I live in Indonesia, I wish we have micro center. Most of my pc part I bought it from an official distributor except my GPU I bought my 1080 from Facebook marketplace, since then I never bought a brand-new GPU maybe because it is too expensive, so normally I just buy second hand GPU. The store here don't have a returned pc parts like in micro center, normally they just returned it to the official vendor and get it fix (if the part is broken).
