21:9 Gaming Monitor?

Ok I saw this LG 21:9 monitor in this music video.

The guys seems to be using this for music editing.

Is this type of monitor usable for gaming? Perhaps this instead of 3 monitor set up?

Not all games can use that aspect ratio and black bars appear on the sides of the monitor. Other games do support it like crysis 3 and most racing games and the experience is great. If you are willing to take the risk go for it.
