Hey there!

Just a quick question but I was wondering if anyone had any experience having a second monitor that was 27 inches with a resolution of 1080p.

My current, main, monitor is 27" and 2560x1440. They would both have the same refresh rate.

I'm aware of the scaling differences and the fact that the DPI would be far inferior on the 1080p monitor, however I put the resolutiion on my 1440p moinitor down to 1080p to get a rough idea and it doesnt seem to be an issue when it comes to watching streams/vids/movies etc. Readng text is still acceptable, although I don't get quite as much on screen as I do at 1440p.

Is it worth going for a second 1440p monitor or should I go with the 1080p option? The 1080p option is £125 ($160) cheaper.

Thank you for taking the time to read my query and all help is apreciated!

Personally I don’t like 27” 1080P for anything text based, I just find it annoyingly lacking sharpness. Perfectly fine for gaming and video though.

I use a 1440p monitor and a 1080p monitor their no problems at all using the 1440p for games and work and the 1080p for side programs and such.

My 1080p is just 24 inches but your not adding a lot more screen.
