What do I need to get if I want a 4GB Gpu
I currently have

Processor
-AMD A6-3670 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics, 2700 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)

GPU
- AMD Radeon HD 6450

PSU
- KRPW-L5-600W/80+

Motherboard
-Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. GA A55M-DS2

RAM
-8GB DDR3

I'm thinking of getting a 4GB GTX 1050. I know it won't run very well with my current system but I just wanna see if its better if I get a gt 1030 2gb.

My question is if my current pc is upgraded with a GTX 1050 4GB, will it run smoother compared to getting a GT 1030 2GB?? Will the 2GB run better on my pc than a 4GB GPU??

Solution
first of all, the 1050 is the way you should go. now if you are asking whether to get the 2 gb variant or the 4 gb variant, then get the 4 gb model. Yes, your current cpu will bottleneck the 1050 in cpu intensive games, but gpu intensive games will run better. I will suggest you either get the 1050 4 gb or the 1050ti 4gb model, whichever is in your budget.

What is your definition of smoother.

A graphics card will only matter if you are playing games.

In your case I don't think the CPU will max out either graphics card.

But yes the 1050 will be better than the 1030, but it will depend on your future plans.

I know I should not change it but have you considered this ?

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 3 2200G 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($94.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: *MSI - B350M PRO-VD PLUS Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard ($49.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: ADATA - XPG GAMMIX D10 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($84.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $229.97

for twice the price of card you get, GTX 1030 performance and new cpu.

if you can squeeze 300$

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 2400G 3.6GHz Quad-Core Processor ($158.90 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: *MSI - B350M PRO-VD PLUS Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard ($49.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: ADATA - XPG GAMMIX D10 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($84.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $293.88

also remember that you can sell ddr3 and get ~60$ back

these specs on this GPU will work with my system right? https://www.amazon.co.jp/MSI-GeForce-GTX-1050-4GT/dp/B01MXYDHJH/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1529403199&sr=8-4&keywords=gtx+1050+4gb

Yes, it will. I would also recommend you to get a better branded PSU as i haven't heard of KRPW; Any good 550 watt PSU would do.

I'll get that as soon as I can. The KRPW thing is quite popular in asia and the brand logo has this 4 japanese kanjis which Idk the meaning. But I 'think' its good, since its a well known brand here. Its not cheap as well

ok.

Can you recommend a MOBO that will support DDR3 1333MHZ RAM, and i5 750. I want it to be a MATX and Have it not go over 60$ Something that will work with my current ram, i5 750, everything just like the GA-A55M-DS2 but that supports my ram and i5 750, AND of course, the GTX 1050 4GB. ( I have a Kingston Hyper X Blu 8GB DDR3 1333MHZ)
