Hello guys 😀
I thought about second hand R9 280x, but later i realised that i prefer new card rather than from someone, so i decided to buy R9 380 / GTX 960 (i don't know yet) but with 2GB VRAM and here is the question. Is 2GB enough for 900p?

30/40 fps on a GTX 770? That can't be right, I got higher on my 660 😵
BF4 uses about 1.8GB VRAM for me, but yes, it will depend on the game, GTA 5 for example, anything above Normal will use more than 2GB.

lol if you send me some proof, I might Just believe you. yeah gta 5 is more of a cpu game though.

I don't have my 660 anymore but I'm assuming you turn off the post processing stuff? All that does is make your game blurrier AND give you less performance. Other than that I ran Ultra, had my fps capped at 60, sometimes dipped to 50/55.

lol then how can I believe you? It doesn't matter what we say to each other, we will still end up not believing
one or the other.

No problem, I've made the same mistake before, little things like that are hard to remember sometimes haha 😛

Some people say it is, but I don't see how.

Why on earth would they say that? Its a very well balanced match and should perform quite well. As for a 2GB card with a 1600x900 monitor that's just fine. You don't need a 4GB for that low of a resolution. I have a GTX 960 2GB (with an i5-4590) on a 1680x1050 monitor and it works great - usually with max or close to max quality settings in most games.

Okay so i hace more money now. I just ordered GTX 960 4GB Windforce x2, new case (SilentiumPC Gladius M20 Pure Black) and cooler for CPU. I think that will be fine :)

I didn't know what to choose - GTX or AMD but i had AMD for a very long time and i'm just very curious how it will be on nvidia 😀
