Hello everyone!

I was in need of a monitor mostly for programming and I recently got a LG27GN850. I am using it as an external display with my Macbook Pro 13". Its resolution is 2560 x 1440 and its current refresh rate is 99 Hz (it supports up to 144 Hz). Its Pixel Per Inch value should be 108.79 PPI.

You may ask me why did I choose a gaming monitor for this purpose... Good question. The answer is I could not stop myself buying a gaming monitor.

I am happy with its size, it lets me see a lot text at the same time. I use it in its "Reader" mode and it helps me read more comfortably.

The only thing I am not sure about is its text sharpness. It is good, definitely readable, but not perfectly sharp. Especially after using a 13.3" laptop with 2560 x 1600 resolution...

I will use this monitor for more than 8 hours a day, coding, reading and writing. Is this resolution and PPI value good for these purposes? Would you suggest me to get a 4K, "ultrasharp" monitor instead?

Please let me know what you think... Thank you!

That's a curved display isn't it? Personally, I would get a flat monitor that you can rotate 90 degrees for coding. You can try a super resolution. I use a 27" LG 4k monitor.
