I use my desktop for a variety of things including general school work or games. My most demanding games are ARK (both the old version and very demanding new version that came out today), GTA5, COD MW3, Warzone, Tarkov, GTFO. I play a variety of other less demanding games. My most demanding non-game usage is just having multiple windows of chrome open, no powerful software requirements.
I am seeking an upgrade to increase load times for games like ARK and GTA.

What would you recommend for a 2TB SSD as my main storage? I am likely going to keep my 500GB SSD for my OS as I don't install any games there. The most important thing to me is that it consistently works for at least 3 years. I am not as worried about price but I would prefer not too expensive if possible. Some recommendations include: JPR700, MP34, p34a60, samsung 970 evo; I was looking most towards MP34 but heard that they have had failings recently but same thing with JPR700. If you agree with any of those choices or have any other preferences, I would love to hear as I am not very versed in storage. Thank you!

SPECS:

Only one, the best: Samsung 970 Evo Plus,

I have the very same drive as my OS drive in my Skylake build (full specs with pics in my sig) and drive has been solid since March of '22, when i bought it.

But for other options, further reading: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-ssds,3891.html
(970 Evo Plus is at #21, as Best performance PCI-E 3.0 M.2 NVMe drive.)

Unrelated, if I were to purchase a 970 Evo Plus for my motherboard, would it conflict at all with my two current SATA drives? Would I have to remove one or could I just uninstall content off my SATA and reinstall onto the M.2?

That is when you look at the spec page:

"SATA5 and SATA6 ports will be unavailable when installing a M.2 device in M.2 slot."

If your current SATA drives are in either of those 2 ports, simply move them to one of the others.

That's embarrassing I've been viewing that page for years without realizing you could click the detail button. Thanks!
