[SOLVED] 2x4GB and 1x8GB DDR4 won't work together

Hi, i have Motherboard: ASUS Z170-P

i have 2x4GB and 1x8GB DDR4 RAM but thet wornt work together no display :(


2x4GB RAM Model: CT4G4DFS824A.C8FDD2
1x8GB RAM Model : i will update it later sorry mobo is not my its my friend and im waiting screenshot

how to fix that?

Return the 8GB stick and get a 2x4GB kit instead, it should preferably be of the same make as the current 2x4GB kit. Best is another kit of the exact same RAM, e.g. if the 2x4GB kit is a Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600GHz kit (hypothetically speaking), try get another of those. However, a different kit should work fine, too. It's still no guarantee - it never is - but the chance of this working is infinitely higher than what you are currently trying to do. Other option would be to get another 8GB stick of the same type as the one you are trying to use right now, and either try if it works if you put all for sticks in, or use the now 2x8GB combo by itself. You could also get a different 2x4GB kit and try that out, it's preferable to use the...
