Would it be worth it to buy a P43.2ghz Northwood or pay the $400 for a 3.4 Northwood for overclocking. I am currently overclocking my 2.8ghz P4 to 3.5Ghz and I was just wondering if a 3.4 might not be worth the extra money when overclocking. I have an Asus FX 5950 (V9980) overclocked to 560Mhz core and 1040Mhz Ram, 1GB PC 3200 Corsair overclocked to 480Mhz, a P4C800-E Delux Mobo, WD SATA 250GB HDD and a 650W PSU. I currently have a Koolance watercooling setup a 300 watt CPU cooler, 180 Watt Chipset cooler, and a 180 watt GPU cooler. I am in the process of converting 3 refridgrator compressors into vaporcooling for my chipset,CPU,GPU.

I think i have a good setup for overclocking and just need help on the Processor. If anyone has any advice that would be great.
Thanks.

Well, if you go ahead with the vapor cooling, go for the 3.4, might as well. If sticking with water, I would get the 3.2, and go for a higher fsb 1:1.

PIV 2.8 @ 3.37, 2X256 Geil Platinum PC4000 @ 1:1, 240fsb, SP-94 with 92mm Tornado, IC7, (2)Raptors in raid 0, BFG5900nu flashed to 5950ultra bios, 500 watt psu.

Money's money man, that's the only thing to consider really. Obviously you know that you wont notice a difference other than some benchmark numbers.

So the question is on you.. do you want to spend that extra money for some higher benchmarks.
The only reason why i don't do it, is becuase i'd like to have a 1988 lx mustang to tweak out instead of a computer that get's outdated in months.(I know that sounds flamish, but i don't mean it that way at all.)

But, it would definately give you some sic bragging rights. You'd have to invest in better ram and go for the 4ghz mark.
