3 2k monitors?

I'm putting together a new PC. I'm throwing 2 980ti's in it and plan to use 3 2k 1440p monitors. I DON'T plan to game on all three just the center display. Will I be getting my full 144htz if I have other programs such as Skype and Chrome open on the other 2 displays when gaming? Or is this just as bad as trying to play the game on all displays?

The 980Tis will crush in 1440p. No problem whatsoever.

Yes, if they're all using DisplayPort from a single card then it's going to work.

It will do great, twin 980 tis could easily play on all three monitors at highish settings at respectable FPS, so a single monitor expect ultra settings at 60fps+.
