So, have a win 7 ultimate x64 and just got my bcd rebuilt in the morning, then, the BSOD:s. The first on came out of nowhere, code was 0x000000f4, second a bit afterwards, code was 0x00000024, then third one, clicked on desktop once and here we go: another BSOD. Code was 0x00000051. The most worry i have, is that the build is only 5 days old. problems started today, as i said earlier, bcd corrupted. Then, i started to install apex legends on my pc and at about 66% of the installation the first BSOD came. As a cpu i have the FX-8350 and 2x8gb of corsair vengeace lp ram (1600mHz).

rgd1101 is correct, putting money into this is a waste, no matter where you live. The platform is very old AND that motherboard was NEVER able to handle the thermal design power of an FX 8 core CPU. Anything you do is going to be an additional waste of money. At the very least I'd try to return the board, if possible, and if not, cut your losses and realize that that board is never going to be adequate. These are the boards to look at if you want to run an 8 core FX processor whether at stock clocks or overclocked.

(Be sure to check when looking for a motherboard that any of the models shown below are either 990fx, 990 or 970 chipsets. A Z170 Extreme6 for example, is not going to work with your FX processor, so, in this example, you want to look for the 990/990fx Extreme6.)

GA-990FXA-UD7
Extreme6
Extreme9
Fatal1ty 990FX Professional
Crosshair V Formula-Z
Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
GA-99FXA-UD5
MSI GD80V2
M5A99FX PRO R2.0
GA-99FXA-UD3
MSI GD65V2
990FX Killer
Extreme4
M5A99X EVO (R2.0 as well)
GA-990XA-UD3
990XA-GD55
GA-970A-UD3P
M5A97 or EVO or PRO (R.2 as well)
GA-970A-UD3
970 GAMING
970A SLI Krait (USB 3.1 supported)

No amount of fans or heatsinks is going to help the fact that what you have is a cheap model, even when the platform was current, much less now many years later when that board likely has some miles on it. The VRM configuration on that board was always a problem, even for some FX 6 core processors if they were overclocked. For FX8, overclocking was not required for their to be problems. It was simply not designed for the TDP of that chip.
