1 If I want to enchant my sword with fire, do I set the enchantment to
"target" or "touch"?

2 Can I layer fire, frost and lightning on to a sword (to make it the most
powerful sword in the universe.....MUWHAHAHAHA!!!!), or is that a bad idea?

3 If I make a mistake (oh, and I will), can I remove an enchantment from
something?

Thanks in advance

J

Touch prolly. Target sends a long range bolt of fire out towards the target,
not sure how it works on weapons tho. Also, Touch is much less expensive.

You Can layer fire frost and lightning, but after every new enchantment you
place on an item the enchantment pts are doubled. Meaning you should put
weaker enchantments first. (IE: 3 pts of lightning, 3 pts of ice, and
finally like 20 pts of fire) If you have a 66 enchantment pt item, it would
go something like this:

3Ice[6pts] *double points for new enchantment* (now 12 pts) +
3light[6pts] (18 pts) *double points* (36 pts) + 15Fire[30pts] = 66 pts It
would make more sense to just put 33 fire pts on an item.

Can not remove enchantments, unless you revert to an old saved game 😉

"Cast On Strike" is what you're after.

It's a very good idea, but be aware that you can only do so
much damage regardless of how you parcel it out, and the sword
will only hold so much enchantment. The more magical schools
you use to enchant, the less overall enchantment points will be
available. For example, if you can put 30 points of fire damage
on a sword, you will not be able to put 10 points each of fire,
ice and shock. Also, expect the cost to enchant to increase
dramatically for those extra spell schools.

Nope.

Weapons are often "Cast on strike", otherwise it's activated like any other
magic item.

Technically, but the cost for multiple enchantments goes up geometricly.
You could put fire, frost, and lightning on a sword, but it'd be more like
candle, icecube, and static cling.

<MUAHAHAHA...forever shall that sock adhere to the back of your armour>

Like you can make spells in the spellmaker that could never be cast without
going into god mode, you can design enchantments that would never fit in the
specified item. The only way you're going to get that sword of elemental
fury is through the editor.

No.

Touch, Cast when strikes

Yep, but the bigger the attack, and the more things it does, the faster
you drain the batteries.

If you use multiple things, try using things that compliment each other,
like fire & weakness to fire.

Not that I know of.

You'll definitely want Cast on Strike, probably with Touch. Target means
the enchantment can still hit the target if they're running away, but it
costs a lot more than Touch. I only use Target with a spear and Soul
Trap.

Not effectively - most weapons don't have enough enchantment available
for that to be a good approach. You'd be better off using either Damage
Health (no elemental resists), or one element + Weakness to that
element.

No, once it's enchanted it becomes a different item that can't be
enchanted further.
