$300 best GPU

I have a 60Hz UHD monitor. I have a XFX TS 550w PSU, my budget is $300 plus a decent 750w PSU. If a card can still work with my PSU then I can put the money I save towards a nicer one. Thanks!
P.S. I know I'm not going to get a great performer for that price but I'm just looking for the closest thing to it

I highly doubt you'll find a legitimate(and working) GTX 980 for $300 or less, you can find a GTX 970 for $300.

GTX 970 if you're dead-set on getting a new PSU. It is an amazing performer for the price, actually.

Not only is it quite good price/perf, but it is very power efficient as well; that 550W xfx psu will have plenty of power for it; unless you have an oc'd FX 9590 or something ridiculous. PCPartPicker estimates a power draw of 318 watts with a stock i5 and a 970 build. You're fine.

I have a 4790k not overclocked. I said no 980 because that was quoted from my last thread and that are like double my budget. If I could get a 980 trust me I would. I've been looking at the 970 as well I just wanted more opionions, and hopefully a specific one (which bignastyid did) Thanks guys!!

Yes it will, its actually clocked a little faster than a reference 970. The trade offs are it's not going to overclock very well, and it maybe loud. Here's a good video about the card.
