[SOLVED] 3070 Crashes. Bad GPU or Drivers?

Hi, I've had my 3070 for 2 days now, with Nvidia's latest drivers.

I'm able to play Killing Floor 2 for hours with no crashes.

World War Z, Hitman, Just Cause 3, & Deus Ex: Mankind Divided crash about 30 minutes into gaming. The temperature appears fine, in the low 60s celsius. I'll add that the GPU usage while playing Killing Floor 2 was around 50%, whereas it was around 95% for the games that were crashing (I'm not an expert just thought I'd bring that up).

I just ran Furmark and Heaven benchmarks at 1440p and had no issues with those. So I'm not sure why the games are crashing. Is there another stress test that I should be using to test the 3070?

What do you guys think? Are the crashes are due to inadequate drivers at launch or possibly a faulty card? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

By the way I'm running an EVGA XC3 3070 with a Ryzen 3600, 750W PSU Seasonic Gold, 16GB Corsair Vengeance 3200, mobo B450 Aorus M.

I fixed it. I updated my bios, disabled rivatuner's framerate limiter, and disabled XMP, so it was one of those that did it. Try that if anyone is experiencing crashing with their 3070. Powerful card!
You could check to see if your GPU is overclocking its self because my 3090 OC over 2000mhz and lags my game?. I try DDU wipe out the drivers and do clean install on drivers to see if it fixes it!

Thanks. I installed the drivers after a fresh reformat, and yes my 3070 XC3 boosts itself from just over 1700 to almost 2000mhz however, Killing Floor 2 at 2000mhz for a couple hours did not crash. Strangely.

Disabling XMP in ryzen 3000 CPU, is the same with using a car with only 3 wheels out of 4. Ryzen LOVE faster memory and perform much much better in gaming and everyday use with the sweet spot being 3600Mhz.

I suggest you enable it again
I appreciate it, I'll test that with multiple games. So far Shadow of War @1440p Ultra is +6 fps with XMP on, hopefully other games do better.
