Good Afternoon,

I am attempting to solve an issue (at least I feel likes its one) with my system running 50-60fps in New World at 1440p with ultra settings and no more than 100fps in Shadow of War at 1440p with ultra settings.

My GPU, as monitored on NZXT CAM, MSI Afterburner, and Aorus Engine, shows normally when I do not have a game launched/browsing = Low Usage, Low Temp, Normal Clock Speed ~1750Mhz.

My GPU, as monitored on either of the aforementioned software, shows abnormally when playing a game = 99/100% Gpu usuage, Normal Temp 55-65c, but low clock speed.. 400-800MHz.

CPU, RAM, etc. all looks normal in-game.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks!

Have you tried doing a CLEAN re-install of the Nvidia GPU drivers ? You can use DDU if you wish, although recommended to be used in Windows Safe Mode, it's not mandatory. Give it a try. If the problem persists, then some other issue might be there on your PC, be it software or hardware.

Your PC specs are pretty good though. I don't see any issue with that.
I’ll give that a shot as soon as I get home. I should have thought of that first. Just placed the 3090 back in the rig this week after using the 1080ti.. that may have something to do with it

Agreed with the comment above man, DDU it, if possible, update or re install the GPU bios. I’m on AMD and I recently updated the GPU bios through the website. Pretty sure NVIDIA may have such an option too?

if any above fail, f it, just clean install your windows, and if still fail RMA it 😂
