3200 ram running at 1599 even when changed in bios

This is my ram G.SKILL 16GB (2 x 8GB) Ripjaws V Series DDR4 PC4-25600 3200MHz Intel Z170 Platform Desktop Memory F4-3200C16D-16GVRB

I have a ryzen 5 1600.

The motherboard is a msi b350 gaming pro carbon.

Neither changing the ram speed manually or enabling xmp will change the ram speed after booting. Though it will change in the bios.

Same thing with an overclock for that matter. Will change in bios, but will be slower than even stock setting on boot.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's 1599MHz Double Data Rate (DDR) which means that 1599MHz is effectively 3198MHz. All is as it should be.

Can you please share with me your timing settings? I can't get mine to work to save my life!
