It’s mainly for gamingDepends on application, but In my opinion, no, it is not worth it in general.
I have a 3700x with a kraken water cooler 16gb ddr4 3200mhz ram 3070 gpu 1tb m.2 plus 2 more 500gb ssd 1000w psu. Main game is escape from tarkov but also play Warzone, pubg, valorant, and the res I play at is 1440p. I have a 1440p 240hz monitor. What are your full system specs?
What games do you play and resolution you game at?
To see if your CPU is limiting performance right now, look at per core CPU utilization while gaming.
What about going to a 5800x?At 1440p I doubt you will notice the difference significantly at all.
5800x isn't noticeably better than a 5600x for games.
Again, check if your CPU is actually limiting you first, because I doubt it will, and if the CPU isn't the limit a better CPU will do nothing for performance.

Going from a 3700x to a 5600x is it worth it?I also looked up the motherboard I have is compatible with a 5600x I would just have to do a bios update?
