@ahnilated -- Same here on my system with an PPII x3 720 and 5770 GPU - I was thinking it was due to the test being the physics test that it had something to do with my card being ATI and 3dmark still running the physics test with the GPU help on Nvidia cards - good to see that it is a problem on the nvidia cards also !

[citation][nom]doyletdude[/nom]How is it possible for this program to requires DirectX 11 but is usable on Vista? I thought Vista capped out on 10.1.[/citation]
With the platform update, Vista supports DX11.

Vista can have dx 11 (according to the dx 11 wiki article anyway)

Alright! Maybe this time around it will actually work for me, unlike all its past iterations. More bloatware than anything else, IMO.

And in related news, Futuremark only sells 1 copy of Professional and it is subsequently pirated by millions...at least that's what I'm planning on doing to acquire it.

[citation][nom]tipoo[/nom]3DMark 2001SE FTW![/citation]

Yep! Using 3dmark2001SE is like running a benchmark for an x86 processor by only crunching with the basic instructions, no SSE..

My next laptop must get 75K in 3Dmark2001SE!

Splendid
You will get support for DirectX 11 when you have installed Vista Service Pack 2 and the necessary Windows updates.

Hopefully there might be a chance for this to be bundled into the AMD HD6900 graphic cards?
