I get 6629 3D marks while doing the whole test. I have a p4 2.8 ghz with 1 ghz ram working in dual channel. My vid card is the ATI Sapphire Radeon 9600 PRO. I see on toms hardware where scores are like 11000+ for 3dmark2001 SE scores. Why is mine so low?

is it because in the advanced options of my video card I made AA/AF 4x/8x?

When benching 3dmark2001 for the highest score;

1.) Never have AA or AF on.
2.) Set any advanced settings to performance or similar.

You answered your own question so well, that I think it was pretty dumb to even ask.

In the end I must finish my post with a big: "DUH"! :tongue:

I dunno why you are bothering with
3dcockstroke 2001.
Just by changing your quality settings you can improve your score, which kinda makes the benchmark as a whore pretty pointless.
No doubt with enough tweaking you can surpass toms score, but would probably leave you with crappy looking graphics in games.

Download Omega catylists.
Install.
Play games with lots of nice eyecandy.

If that were the actual name and function of the benchmark I think more people would use it...!
