Im getting 10K with my E6300 and 8800GT 256 under Vista64, a little higher under XP. I am not overclocking my video card either.
Id say your score is very low, there must be a problem somewhere. Did you do a complete driver cleaning before installing the new card?

No I didn't I still have the Nvidia drivers on it... I'll do a complete unistall and see if that works...thanks

Thanks for the help....I'll look again at my bios and see if I can change the PCI-E setting.

Those scores are really bad. I have a AMD 4200 X2 and a 7950 GTX go in my laptop, all stock. I can score a overall of 6500 with that 3 year old machine, and it's a laptop. Your CPU score aren't the greatest but I would look more into your graphics card. Your graphics performance scores are terrible. Follow some of the things people have replied with and see if they help. If they do not I would send the card back, It might have a faulty chipset or something.

I don't need a Q9650 to get 17,759 ...., but it wouldn't hurt, nice score man.

I'm glad you used the opportunity to brag about your score. Because it really helps the OP know what a "good" score is for an AMD system with an HD3870.

Your a sharp one,,

Im a little concerned. If he is not comfortable navigating the BIOS, he should stay away from a tweak util like this one.

At least for now. It should not require any custom apps to get it running correctly.

When I had my 1900xtx, I would have to set the voltage first then tell it to set to the 3d mode settings because other wise it locks up from trying to run at the speeds without setting the voltage first..

Sometimes you need to unplug the power, pull the card and re-seat it. Make sure that your power to the card is good and secure, and not sharing the same rail with any other devices. Best to devote a whole 12v rail to just the card. Look into new drivers for the nVidia chipset, hotfixes or anything related to having an ATi card in an SLi board w/Vistax64... just a wild thought. Sometimes they don't post the "hotfixes" under typicall downloads for the mobo. "?"

LOL!, XP of course, you still got me beat because yours is a single card. How in the world did you OC the SNOT out of that card that high? I hope you don't keep it running at that speed all the time, she may not want to run to long....

Sorry to post stuff OT(above) ,

your problem has to be only one of a few things. One your PCIE bus is not syncing at 16X or maybe not even 8X. (you will have to go into the bios and find where your bus settings are make sure they are set to 16X)

The second is there is a driver issue whereby your card is not recognized correctly and its performance options are disabled. (you should uninstall the driver completely and then reinstall the latest one).

The third thing I would think the card itself has an issue. I have had cards with bad voltage regulators that will cause them to detect insufficient voltage to itself and go into reduced performance safe mode. (if this is a possible case, make sure you are using the correct power connector to your video card and that your power supply is pulling sufficient juice to power your whole system.

And last but not least, as someone has surely advised already, unplug the card and move it to another slot to test but first uninstall the existing driver and when it redetects the card anew, use the latest drivers you can find.

Hope some of this helps and good luck.

To the OP:

You should be getting at least 10k with your rig. And even that might be a tad low. I would say on average ~11k or higher. Im hitting 14.6k with my SLI rig in sig with very little OC'ing.

What catalyst driver version are you running? What res were you running at? I know that AM2 board doesn't support pcie 2.0 but it shouldn't hurt it that much.... Which PCI E slot is that installed in?

This is my score with my current settings, and I'm on the lower end for scores when it comes to other systems based off the same processors... You should probably be scoring around....10k with your setup.
