3rd party support to diminish for the "Revolution"

Hmm, will EA/Ubisoft/THQ etc... even bother to release games on the
Revolution?

Why bother spending extra money on development to make their games
compatible with the RR ( Revolution Remote). I suspect that multi-platform
games will no longer be released on the "Revolution".

Just what I expected, the Revolution will become a first-party platform.

Nintendo should have released the RR as a periphereal and not as their main
controller.

Bad example.
I am not saying that factors such as the revolution specs or whether or not
it will be bundled with a 'classic' controller to support multi platform may
alienate or not gamers or developpers.

But the example is badly choosen: EA/Ubisoft/THQ and Activision all said
they liked the idea, so I guess that almost mean they will support the
revolution.

I think I read as well somewhere that Nintendo put a lot of effort into the
development kit so that adapting current games to this controller might not
be so difficult after all.

Ant.

Whatever.....they're going to find out sooner that later that their games
won't translate over well using
the RR. So will the consumers.

I guess as long as you could use a regular controller everything will turn
out alright. I still think it should have
been a peripheral ( like an eye toy ).

The Revolution is not meant to be bought as main NEXT GENERATION
Console. It is a Backup for older broken Nintendo Systems. You can play
your Gamecube Discs on Rev. You can plug in your Gamecube controller.
Its just another Gamecube with a few new Gimmicks.

If you want multi Platform games, buy a XBOX360.

Nintendo should have brought something revolutionary. Do you remember
the ON Video ??? True VR with headset, compatible for all old Cube Games,
that would have been Cool :O)

I think the Rev will be Nintendos last TV Console and we will see no
more Nintendo hardfware in the Future, like we do not see Sega Hardware
right now anymore.

Christoph Kogler, I disagree completely. This IS meant to be Nintendo's
next generation console, silly. It's not just a GameCube with gimmicks.
YOU couldn't have thought of something this different from the pack. I
don't expect Nintendo to die out anytime soon, as they are in heavy
negotiations with third parties. THQ said that they're seeing more of
the Revolution than they've seen out of any other Nintendo console, and
you know how unimportant THQ is.

Proof?

You were spouting the same nonsense about the Gamecube and guess what hoss?
You were wrong. LMAO.

You're insane, Nintendo had the largest NET (not gross) profit of any of the gaming companies last console.

Why?

Because they don't overspend their capabilities. To suggest that the Wii will be the final Nintendo console is an opinion informed by gamers and advertising, NOT economics and business.

Video games are a business and Nintendo is the only company that significantly increases their Net profit will each console. It may not have the gaming specs of the other systems (which may indeed be superior video game devices), but it still outperforms on a financial level (20 plus years of experience in an industry will do that), which is what determines if a company continues to release things.

Conversely, Sega spents tons of money realizing a forward-thinking technology that was expensive to produce (the Dreamcast) and sold it for too little. Then, unfortunately for them, the video and gaming industry took huge leaps forward just a few months later, and all of that expensive R&D proved worthless (so Sega collapsed).

Nintendo is the exact opposite instance. Instead of pushing R&D costs into the red, they've worked on redesign and innovation of gameplay, hoping to continue steady, slow NET growth, rather than focus of sales themselves.
