My HDD (Toshiba mq01abf050) has an 4-pin jack near the SATA. I know that SATA specification includes molex joint, but some sources say that it could be a jumper . So, how can I determine whether it's molex or it's jumper?

Solution
If it is a laptop drive is is a jumper. There has NEVER EVER been a model plug for a laptop drive. IDE Drives were 44 Pins. 40 Pins for for the data 4 for the power. They got it directly from the jack it self. On SATA both 2.5 and 3.5 use same power plug.

4 in Molex were ONLY only 3.5 inch drives and the plug it self is about an inch wide with 4 BIG pins in it. When SATA first came out they made a dual Model/SATA power for people who didn't have SATA connectors on their PSU. They haven't made a dual power SATA drive in probably around 8 years.
