I've been on multiple sites, forums, etc and have tried basically everything. Well now, I've just finished my build, enabled all the power management settings in Windows and NVIDIA Control panel, and I am still experiencing the same problem. I've been told GTA V is very dependent on the amount of players and entities in a session, but when I look at benchmarks posted on YouTube or other sites with the same settings and similar specs, I've got half of the results posted. My build is completely new, specs:
Ryzen 5 3600
GIGABYTE GAMING RTX 3070 8G
ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F Gaming
2 x 8 Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 3600mhz
Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
GTA 5 settings are cranked up, although lowering them or res does nothing, just lowers the load on the GPU. Pushing it to max load does nothing to improve FPS either. My previous CPU was an i7 7700k, which I was told was bottlenecking and after some research the 3600 was apparently more than enough for my GPU. I was hoping that with the new driver (461.40) and my fresh build with a better CPU would fix this issue and I would be able to consistently run online @ 60+ fps, but that seems to not be the case. Not sure what else to try, so a) anyone else in the exact same boat or b) is this just because GTA is an old game and the optimization is terrible for today's tech? Too much to ask for 60 fps in a populated GTA lobby?
