[SOLVED] 400 Bad Request This server does not support the operation requested by your client

Dear All

I have seen many thread like the one I am posting now but I couldn't find a cure ,,,,may be I overlooked or it is hiding somewhere on net I didn't find it
I am trying to set Netgear Nighthawk D8500 with Firmware Version V1.0.3.50_1.0.1 as an Access Point and I was looking to change the LAN IPs then this message popped up

400 Bad Request This server does not support the operation requested by your client

How can I overcome this issue ?

Call Netgear tech support. Every router I have owned has allowed me to change the IP address.

Start with a factory reset. Then set the LAN IP address. You may have to set the DHCP info first. Then try to toggle to AP mode.
I have had Asus routers that were very picky on the order things were done.

Tried it and failed as well

One of my trying I tried it first and it worked no issue

I downloaded firmware again and uploaded again and same error message

Yes I am aware I need to assign static ip address to my PC after change has gone through ,,,but that is not happening

On firefox, have you opened the web console to see what traffic is happening? I don't have any Netgear hardware so I am having to use general troubleshooting.

What I am trying to help you find out is WHAT request your browser is making that is causing the 400 response. You can see the traffic in the developer tools. The "network", can show you the traffic.

I forgot to mention I had tried that as well

I don't see anything obvious from the trace. It looks like the "edit icon" gif is failing. There is nothing that you can do. That is a bug in the firmware. Maybe you can use a firmware recovery mode to load different firmware.

I downgraded the firmware from V1.0.3.50_1.0.1 to V1.0.3.44_1.0.1 (one version older) and it worked fine now can change ip address disable DHCP,,,etc
