Hey community,
So I am putting together a new build for a client/brother of a friend, and I was going to run by you guys what I came up with. My plan was to use an 8800GTX that I have lying around to save money on the budget.
Approximate Purchase Date: Probably the next few weeks.
Budget Range: $400 no rebates
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming
Parts Not Required: 8800GTX
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg or Tigerdirect
Country: US
Parts Preferences: by brand or type: No preference, but not the AMD bulldozer. Probably the new Celerons or Pentium chips.
Overclocking: No
SLI or Crossfire: No
Monitor Resolution: I believe 1280x1024, I'll come back and edit this if I make a change.
Additional Comments: Its going to need to play Saints Row 3 and Starcraft II, among other games, rather well. High and Ultra are not required, but it must run smooth. Price must include OS
I've got an 8800GTX 768 that I am willing to take from my GPU cemetery. because this computer is going to a friend.
I am mainly making this post because I cant decide on whether I should go for a G530, G620, or a 2100 for the build. I have a G530, and it plays everything perfectly, but I haven't tried SR3 or SCII.
I've created a built that would go similar to this; I just like to run my builds by you guys. It came out to $340, so I would like to cut some dollars somehow.
