Question 4070ti Super no display

Hi I recently purchased a 4070ti super and couldn't get it to display, I am using a R7 5800x with currently a RTX 3060ti but obv tried to upgrade to the 4070ti super and a MSI X470 Gaming Pro motherboard, I do have the corsair adaptor for the 40xx series cards and it is compatible with my RM850x as my cables are type 4, I tried reseating it multiple times, the slot I used it in is working as its currently the same one I just put my 3060ti back into and I also updated my bios to the latest but none of it seemed to work unfortunately, I am now thinking that maybe the card was only compatible with a the top slot on my motherboard as I didn't test that I only tried two of them so if anyone could comment on that it would be great, the only other thing I could think was that the GPU was just not working itself and so I have sent a refund request to SCAN (Not sure if they are able to just replace it? as I would prefer to just get a new one sent out) so if anyone has any solutions it would be very helpful and if any other information is needed I will happily provide.

The BIOS version is the latest from the website 7B79v1L1, and the psu I got back in 2021 which the cables say type 4 on them and thats the type of corsair cable I got so I assume they are compatible I could be wrong tho.

Your motherboard has only pci 2.0 and 3.0 slots, while 4070 gpus are pci 4.0, but this is not the issue since that are still compatible and it should work on any slot(though you will lose some performance due to difference in pcie versions). And did the PSU cables you use come with PSU or you got them elsewhere?

I tried the one that comes with the card and also the one I bought from corsair which from my research should work fine with the card, would just going for a full upgrade of the CPU/MOBO maybe help the issue?

You should try deleting old GPU drivers by deleting it from windows hardware manager or by using DDU and try to run PC with new card after that. Also PSU manufacturers recommend to use only the cables that come in the box with their PSU unit, not any others.

ill give it a bash and see, I also think the only cable I used that didn't come with the psu was the cable for the gpu which the one I bought is from corsair which they said is compatible.
