My 4090 is randomly losing about 25% performance. I’m not exactly sure whats going on, I don’t think its a bios issue considering there are times where it is operating at 100%. All drivers are up to date.

GPU-Z will list out the performance cap reason, perfcap. Worth logging to see what it says. Could also be GPU memory instability that is recoverable, so a slight underclock to the memory might be worth a shot. May also be a good time to verify the video memory temperatures if possible.

RM850x is a little small for a 4090. But that would be about the only immediate thing I can think of. It should be able to handle it, but I would have looked at the RM1000x for a 4090.

Are you using adapters? Or did you pick up a type 4 12VHPWR cable so you could go direct. I would certainly recommend doing that as well.

I’ll check out GPU-Z, also I’m using the corsair 12VHPWR splitter cables, so it’s direct from GPU to PSU. Also, this 4090 model is hard limited to 450w, so in theory an 850w psu should be fine. Also, that was the recommended minimum psu requirement for this particular model. But I’ll update you with the GPU-Z stats.
