4670k or 4770k?

Currently have the 4670k, can upgrade to a 4770k for like $200. Looking for something that will last me a few years as I'll be OC'ing. I have a Titan X SC for my GPU and a 4k Monitor - I play mostly MMORPGs.

Worth the upgrade for $200?

No you will gain about 6% performance and end up with a much hotter running chip. Save the money and buy newer hardware sometime down the line instead of doing a pointless upgrade with 4 year old tech.

No. It isn't really worth it. Performance is very similar other than perhaps the initial clock speed AND the i7-4770K has 8 threads and 4 cores vs the i5-5670k with 4 threads and 4 cores. That said, if you know that the extra threads are actually needed... you may want to move to an i7, (or perhaps Ryzen,)
