4790k high temps?

Been questioning my CPU temps for a while now as it seems to be much higher then normal. Usually idles at around 42 degrees and when stress testing with prime95 it shoots up to 87 in seconds before topping at 92 then blue screening. My system seems to crash frequently while playing games such as GTA 5 and has crashed recently on Need for speed. Been looking to RMA or solve this issue but Intel needs the FPO and ATPO which I cannot find because It requires a scanner.

Stock cooler? Check the mounting to see if one of the push-pin feet came slightly loose from the board.

Not a stock cooler, i have forgot to mention that i am using a h100i cooler and I am using Artic mx-4 which I have reapplied twice.

Maybe switch to a coolermaster fan. I have a i7 3770k overclocked to 4.2ghz and never went above 72 degrees and idles at 38-40
