4790k question on temps

Hey Guys, wanted some advice and y'all are the experts. Just finished my new build with a 4790k and EVGA GTX 980ti. I am running an Evo 212 cooler on a push pull system. Idle is about 28-30 and on heavy load (battlefield 4 on ultra) getting about 68-70 degrees. Is that an ok temp for that setup? Reason I ask is because I got about 60 on my over clocked 2500k at 4.5 ghz. I'm not currently over clocking my new cpu

Solution
That's normal. The 4790k is not only a newer gen cpu than your old 2500k and runs a bit warmer, it's also hyperthreaded which can cause temps to be a few degrees higher. The 212 evo is a decent budget cooler, however don't expect huge temp drops by running push/pull vs running it with a single fan. The cooler itself isn't very thick from one side to the other (which would restrict airflow, benefiting from push/pull).

If you didn't tighten up the center screw under the cooling fins on the cooler, it might be running just a bit warmer. The center screw helps improve contact, the 212 evo tends to fit somewhat loose/sloppy in that many times a gentle side to side twisting motion can cause cooler movement...
