Question 4k\144hz PC to TV HDMI Limited by Receiver Passthrough

Not sure this the right spot, but I have a question. I have a Samsung QN85 TV which supports 4k at 144hz, this works great if I do direct PC GPU (3080) to the TV. I have a Yamaha surround sound receiver however which does not have the passthrough for this. Currently I have the HDMI port of the PC running to the TV to get the high refresh rate, then the Display Port running to the HDMI of the receiver.

This does work, however on the PC it forces me to have "two monitors" one is the receiver, but has no actual display and in the Nvidia Control panel if I disable the Display it removes the ability to use it for Audio, so I have it set to like the top right corner and "extend" the display so I don' actually "see" it.

Is there a way to do this differently so I don't have to have "two" monitors connected on the PC? I have see some people suggesting PC to TV Directly with the HDMI, then run a second HDMI from the TV eARC to the Receiver, does this work?

I did get a Denon AVR-S570BT that hasn't arrived yet, but I'm seeing this one is limited to 4k \ 120 hz and I really wanna use the 144. Anyone know if this will work unofficially with this receiver? Cause if so I can just to the standard PC to Receiver to TV if thats the case.

The TV eARC to the Receiver should work; why would it not? All you have to do is make sure that the TV is set to PassThrough on the sound output. It works on my setup and is necessary if you're using the TV's internal Netflix or Prime apps to play movies with Dolby Atmos.

Thanks for the tips!
