[SOLVED] 4k upscaling on HDMI 1.4

Hey everyone. So I have a 4k TV that has upscaling and I am playing my nintendo switch on it. The switch is supposed to only have HDMI 1.4 ports on it. My question is, is the switch capable of upscaling since it is only HDMI 1.4? Do you need HDMI 2.0 for upscaling to work?

Upscaling is a basic function of all displays. If your are playing at 1080p, and it doesn't look like a tiny box in the center of the screen surrounded by black, then upscaling is working.
