[SOLVED] 500 GB 970 EVO or 1TB SSD Crucial MX500?

I need some storage for my new gaming pc. Its hard to buy a SSD these days because the price will drop soon or later. So I feel like im wasting my money. I know 500Gb is too small for gaming but I will be purchasing a larger SSD in the future. I think I could stay with the 970 EVO a few months and then purchase a 1TB SSD cheaper.
What would u do guys?

For games get Crucial MX500 1TB.
SSD prices have dropped already. I don't think prices will go significantly lower any time soon.

Get the NVME Samsung 970 now if your setup fully supports it , then add a standard SATA III for additional storage later.

Your rig will support a 970 EVO, but for gaming a you wont see much of a benefit from the faster NVMe drive. For me, I would rather have the extra room than take 1 or 2 seconds off my boot time.

Its more expensive than the other 2 drives. It is slower than the 970 EVO but has 1TB.

Its not that much slower than the 970 EVO. Go for it, best of both worlds.

That one is slower than the 970 EVO, hence why cheaper.
I wouldn't suck up the m.2 port for a substantially slower NVMe drive.

Ye you are right. I only have 1 m2 port "usable". My mobo has 2 m.2 ports but one of then would would make the gpu slower. So I should pick the best Nvme drive.
I think a 970 EVO for 120€ its a good deal and I will be hunting a good offer for a 1TB SATA SSD in the future.

EVO is faster, but games rarely would take advantage, and the Crucials size and speed is more than enough for games.
