Question 5090/CPU

Some statements before the question.
1. My monitor is 1440 with 240hz and not 4K.
2 My CPU is the AMD 7800X3D

I have an opportunity to upgrade my 4090FE to a 5090FE. However, I'm not running a 4K monitor, nor do I have the AMD 9800X3D. So, I don't believe I'll see a"Big" jump in performance with my current setup. The only thing I would do is upgrade to a future CPU and Monitor. Does this sound correct?

Yes it sounds correct, the RTX5090 is more of a 4K gaming card but you should still be able to hold your ground with the 7800X3D.
