[SOLVED] 5600xt and 5700 same price, which should i buy?

I found a gigabyte gaming oc 5600xt for 299 and an xfx dd ultra 5700 for 299... which should i get?

Get the 5700 since the price is the same. A 5600XT is just 5700 with less memory, narrower memory bus and less memory bandwidth. Making for a mildly slower card. There's no reason to choose a 5600XT over a 5700 besides cost.

Definitely the 5700.

5700. You get more Vram. And a more stable product. The 5600XT is a mess with all the bios updates and the last minutes forced performance increase.

5700. More vram. Card will probably be relevant longer.

I actually have the same dilemma, in Holland the prices for 5600xt and 5700 overlap quite a bit. So the choice is get one of the very cheapest 5700's or a reputable well reviewed 5600xt.
In my case the choice between Sapphire 5600xt pulse or Asrock Challenger 5700.
Both 320 euro.
The Asrock runs kinda hot, and makes a bit more noise.

Noise is a personal choice I guess
Temperature...so it runs a bit hotter than others, should i really care much ?

Any other arguments to go for a high end 5600xt over a cheap 5700?

also you can bios flash 5700 to 5700xt for 10% increased performance
