5.5 years seems light for someone who is entrusted to uphold the law.
Under the 40% rule that will apply to that crime he only needs to spend 40% of that sentence in jail so 2 years 2 months. As he has been held on remand since he was arrested in May 2022, he has already served his time so is probably due for immediate release under license.
 
The guy threw his life away because of greed. He was probably making 100k+ a year and could have invested as he pleased with his own money.
