Hello guys ! First, i want to start by posting my PC specs :
CPU: i5 3570k GPU: HD 7950 RAM : 8GB MOBO : MSI z77a-g45 PSU : 750W
As the title say, i got myself a BenQ 144hz monitor, first thing i tried with it is playing CSGO, which was absolutely amazing to see the difference as i had stable 200+ FPS, however when i tried games such as BF3 /BF4/ and lately BF Hardline , in some areas my PC was only able to pull out 60-70 FPS, and for some reason when the frame rate is betwen 60-70 i felt like 30-45 FPS. It was weird, because 60FPS didn't feel really like 60FPS on my 144hz monitor, some people told me it's because you got used to 144hz monitor , but i can swear, i've always ha da 60hz monitor and i can definitely tell it's not the same for some reason. Other people told me your GPU might no be synced with your monitor.. So this was really confusing, and i never experienced screen tearing or things like that, and v-sync is always off.
It would be awesome if you guys can help me out with this, or give me any hint of where the problem is coming from ? or is it just normal ? because the screen says im getting 60 FPS and it feels like 30 FPS on my 144hz monitor. thanks !

Solution
many 60hz monitor has lower pixel response time and things like that, compared to a 1ms 144hz monitor, those 60hz will then introduce a motion blur effect and it might seem smoother than your quick 144hz monitor.
60 FPS is 60 FPS; however, the refresh rate of the 144Hz monitor makes it seem far greater than that because the information is being updated significantly faster than the rate you've grown accustomed to over time.

Also, are you *sure* the monitor is actually displaying the full 144Hz? What connection type are you using?

yes it is, im using the a Benq connected on a DVI port and on my desktp it is set to 144hz, this is really weird :/, from all the people i asked 60 FPS is 60 FPS on both and it should feel like it, but for some reason it feels so sttutering to me i don't know why !

So is there any way to fix that ? maybe my monitor settings ?
