I was thinking of picking up a fairly cheap SSD, the 60GB ones are Cheap but are they big enough for Windows Operating System ? I was planning on using the SSD just for the operating system. I don't play Games. I mostly Surf the Internet & Download Movies from Torrents. I have 64 bit processor & 4 Gb of Ram.

Would the 60GB SSD be big enough ? I have never used SSDs or used multiple hard drives either, I always used a single drive before.

OP (jonathanchu):
I think it'll fit fine. On my Win7 Ultimate x64 system:

\Windows\ is 18.4gigs.
\Users\ is 11gigs. (Most game saves and other app profiles are here)
\Program Files (x86)\ is 1gig (mostly junk I thought would be fun to load faster)
\Program Files\ is 10gigs (again, junk that I wanted to see go faster)

That's 40.4gigs, and upwards of half could be moved to another drive. Windows lets you move the \Users folder, freeing up a a ton of space there. (Without even getting into symbolic links and other wild stuff,)

JJ1217 is right too, you'll definitely want a hard drive also for stuff like music, videos, backups, etc.

See my answer above about moving your \Users folder to one of...
Yes. Make sure you have a secondary hard drive, even 250GB of storage space goes quick. I always recommend at least another 500GB HDD as a storage drive, this is where all your programs and other things will go.

With a 111GB SSD, Windows only uses around 25 GB, but its always nice to have more for your pagefile and other files that can take several gigs.

I have got Corsair Neutron GTX 120 GB and installed win 7 ultimate x64 on it.
Now it has got only 9 GBs remaining. And I have got following extra HDs installed.
1 TB WD Black Cavier
2 TB Seagate Baraccuda
2 TB WD Green Cavier

Now when I am trying to install visual studio on my D drive, it's still installing 6 GBs on C drive and rest of 2 GBs to my D drive.
Another softwares like adobe master collection is also creating same issue for me.

Is there any way out?

See my answer above about moving your \Users folder to one of your larger HD's.
Also make sure a page file isn't sitting on the SSD.
Lastly (that I can think of right now), make sure System Restore isn't using a bunch of gigs saving backups on the SSD.

HTH.

Wow your users is 11 gigs? Mine is 2.45 gigs lol. Although I seem to be having around 15 gigs of missing space. (Everything in my SSD takes around 25 gigs but I only have 70 gigs out of 111GB lol.

Wow, yeah I guess Users is getting a bit out of hand haha.

I game a lot and hit Quick Save every 10-30 seconds out of habit 😛.. A good portion of that has to be all those saves that I'm too lazy to clean out.

Have you checked to see if Windows is saving System Restore Points on your SSD? I found mine trying to use 16gigs for the buggers!
