I saw something last night on the news that I thought you would get a kick out of. For $150.00 you can now have a fishfinder/sonar VIA a wrist watch. The sonar looks like an oversized cork. You cast it wherever you want to look at transmits with wireless technology to a display on the watch.

I've seen those advertised in the Bass Pro Shops catalogues - I remember the advertisements, too. You must have been up all night or watching the Outdoor channel to get that flashback commercial! It's a great concept for someone doing some bank fishing. Maybe even for someone in a boat that wants to check out a more remote spot without putting the boat right over that spot. Are you going to try one on your ponds?

It's no different from being in a boat with a hull-mounted sonar. It just let's you know about the environment your working. Kinda like having a hand-held temperature gun when you're OCing...

I fish these farm ponds, so it just seem like cheating to me. I have a good idea of where the big fish are, but with one of those things all I would have to do is rig it up on a seperate rod and throw it to the spot to see if there was a big fish there. The one thing that I wouldnt mind using it for would be to locate White Perch or Bream for my grandmother.
