Question 64gb ddr4 (4 sticks) or 64gb ddr5 (2 sticks)

Hi, as the title states. Should I get DDR4 4 stick 3600 or shall I get the RAM in the link below?

In that case it doesn't support DDR4. One or the other, but VERY seldom two types of RAM.

In your pcpartpicker link you have MSI PRO B660M-A WIFI DDR4 (not MSI PRO B660M-A WIFI).
Those are different models. Make sure, which exactly is your model.

I must have the DDR4 one because I've currently got DDR4 16GB installed and it's been working fine for the past 6 months

Then DDR5 is not compatible with your system.

I'm preferably looking for 64gb 4 sticks 3200 or 3600 DDR4. I know I'm a bit late but if its on sale that would be good. You seen any recently?

That is 32GB kit (not 64GB).

I know but I can't find any 64gb that are 4 sticks and on sale... Is having 4 sticks of 32gb better than 2 sticks of 64? My main use is gaming but I've always got so much open whilst gaming

Have you run out of RAM on your current RAM? Unless you are running VMs, 1/2 of that 64GB will be unused in a gaming PC.

I run VMs sometimes as I do go university for Computer Science. As for that the rest is just because why not lol. Is the 32gb I sent more than enough?

4 DIMMs is usually not better than two.

On dual channel boards 2 ram modules is better than 4 modules (B660 is dual channel board).
With 4 modules often max achievable ram frequency is lower than with 2 modules.

Yes but you're saying its not worth getting 64GB I thought I might as well get the 32gb.
