They will both essentially perform the same function. The gold one would use slightly less power and generate slightly less heat, so as long as they are pretty much the same price I would go for that one.

My choice would be the 80+ gold one cuz it's fully modular
never buy anything below gold, efficiency is a part of quality psu and progress.

Actually, the XFX 550W Core Edition (80+ Bronze) is considered better than the Corsair RM 550 (80+ Gold).
This is because the RM uses bad capacitors that fail more than quality capacitors should and may cause some heat issues. So efficiency is not always related to the quality of the PSU.
