6600GT Better than 9700 Pro?

Hi all

Ive had a ATI Radeon 9700 pro since they came out a few years ago, although
it still good for all agmes at the moment i was wandering about upgrading.
How much difference is there between Nvidia 6600GT and the 9700 pro? What
about just a 6600?

This review compares the 9700 Pro, 6600 and 6600GT. I wouldn't consider
a 6600 as being an upgrade.

That's funny cause how I read the numbers, it certainly is an upgrade at the
higher resolutions.

Thanks for the link Cuzman, after reading the results although the 6600GT
is faster it is not enough to warrant parting with the 9700 pro for the
marginal increase. I'll wait a while longer before upgrading as for the the
bang for buck i wouldnt get much better unless i pay over £200 for a card.

Perhaps, if you consider 6 FPS on Chronicles of Riddick as being
playable.

My observations comparing a 9800 Pro with a 6600GT - significant.
