660ti locking up and stops displaying

ok, so i just got a 660ti today and it locks up and my monitor goes into sleep mode when i try to play bf3 and when i play crysis 2 i got about 10 seconds in and it froze i had to reset my pc in order for this to stop. could this be a driver error or do i need to rma?when i play gmod it was fine while i tested maxing out at 289fps

and it apears now my 7770 is unstable after installing the 660tis drivers..is it possible the drivers are conflicting each other? i have a 850w xfx pro powersupply so its not the psu but i was using one cable with 2 six pins on it maybe 2 separate cables?
